The trick is learning to access, understand and utilize this awesome power, so you’re not running around on auto-pilot. Pretty much anything you want to change in your life has a corresponding subconscious component that you can reset to a more positive, successful program. Yes, it may take a little time and reinforcement (after all–haven’t all the programs running your life right now been reinforced for a lifetime??), but it’s worth it. Dedicating time to YOU, to learn more about yourself so that you can become the human being your were always meant to be.

Removing Limitations and Hypnosis

By the time we’ve reached our teenage years, much of our mental life programming is set and running on automatic. This unconscious part of our life can be a blessing or a curse, depending on the types of messages and beliefs that we’re written on the hard drive of our mind— by our parents, caregivers, teachers, clergy and even our friends. The sphere of influence on a young mind is far-reaching, and is a large responsibility to all of those caring for children.

Once we reach adulthood, we often carry a huge bag of mental garbage everywhere we go. Not even realizing most of those errant beliefs aren’t even ours! We’ve been hypnotized to believe we aren’t good enough, or that we suck at math, or we expect to always fail. Or. Or. Or.

Most of the limitations we hold about ourselves are an illusion, and yet they hold tremendous power over our lives. We’ve bought into the mass consciousness that generally believes we AREN’T beautiful, amazing, competent, successful, healthy, strong individuals. Once you realize you’ve been duped by a generational pattern of living, you can choose to step out of the rut and claim a new you.

Sure, it might take a little reinforcement and tweaking here and there. But if you bought into the belief that you are anything but authentically powerful, you’re believing a lie. There are many “tools of the mind” that can help you being a new pattern in life. Hypnosis is one tool that I’ve applied to many areas of life with great success. Hypnosis can help you identify and remove unhealthy, harmful patterns and beliefs while reprogramming new positive, successful ones. It can also help you forgive. Which is topic for another day.

So, let me end here. Each of us can change this world by first changing ourselves. When we cease to carry the baggage that no longer serves us, we can positively influence all of those around us, especially children.
