Forgiveness

I’d thought I’d follow up a post about guilt with one about forgiveness. Forgiveness is the key to releasing you from the past—and that includes guilt. I personally have a personality type that struggles with forgiveness, so I have to work extra hard sometimes to move past difficult events (and difficult people!). But, once I realized lack of forgiveness only hurts ME, I knew I couldn’t allow myself to hold onto past hurt anymore.

Forgiveness—of yourself and others—is a way to access the super highway of personal freedom. It’s a gift you give yourself. A gift that literally changes your perception and transforms how you experience life.

Acceptance and gratitude turn life lessons into wisdom.

Once we stop fighting with the fact the “something happened” and accept our inability to time-travel into the past and change it—we can embrace ourselves in the present moment, which allows us to experience life from a better and higher place. It doesn’t make us better than anyone else. It just means we refuse to allow others to have such power over us. Seriously think about it. Those we hold in resentment and anger, have a tremendous power in our life. They hold us down. And control our ability to live better and keep us from a higher expression of ourselves. WE are the only ones who can choose to cut the cords to the past and embrace a new future.

Now, I know forgiveness can be extremely hard sometimes. Especially if what happened is a violation of human rights or personal privacy. So, if you find yourself truly trapped and unable to move forward—no matter how hard you try—consider trying hypnotherapy. Hypnosis can connect you with your higher self and empower you to step into your greatness, free of pain, hurt, resentment and unforgiveness. Hypnosis can make the process much less difficult and speed up the transition to freedom.

Think about it. How much lighter you’ll be without the weight of others on your shoulders. Free to be you. Free to be.

Guilt

“Guilt is the source of sorrows, the avenging fiend that follows behinds with whips and stings.” —Nicholas Rowe

Definition of guilt: a feeling of responsibility or remorse for some offense, crime, wrong, etc., whether it’s real or imagined.

So yeah. Guilt is one of those things in life that really doesn’t have a good side, or a silver lining. It’s a force of negative power which limits our understanding and compassion of ourselves and those around us. Essentially, guilt blocks out truth. It keeps us trapped. Believing a viscous cycle of destructive internal dialogue and blocking out our innocence, our humanity, and our right to forgiveness.

In all honesty, the only productive choice to make when guilt arises—is to acknowledge it’s there and then let it go. Yes, maybe something could’ve been done differently, or better, or sooner, or later. But, all we have is now. Regret keeps us tied to the past, where we have little choice but to repeat our thoughts and actions, over and over again. By letting go, we can step forward and embrace a different choice, a new action.

We all deserve to live free of guilt. And each one of us can only free ourselves from its grip, no one can do it for us. You can do it. 🙂

Your Mind is the Key

If you’ve ever tried to solve a problem in life with willpower and logic alone, you might’ve experienced some mental blocks and difficulty getting it resolved. When facing mounting challenges, many people assume applying more physical power or mental focus, the problem with be easier to handle.

But what’s missing for most, is—the subconscious mind, the most powerful tool of all.

It holds answers to many of life’s questions and can be a friend and silent partner that few people utilize. When you bring the subconscious mind together with its conscious side, there are few issues that cannot be fixed. For instance, if you’ve had difficulty with weight all your life– you can be sure there is a subconscious program running in the computer of your mind. (or maybe many!). It could be a program from childhood, maybe one you don’t even know you’ve had all along.. But you can be sure– if you haven’t reached your goal weight and and been able to stay there–you have a subconscious program in your mind that is blocking your goals. So much progress can be made once you become acquainted with your subconscious mind—you’ll be amazed.

Hypnosis is one of the best tools to access and reprogram your subconscious beliefs. All hypnosis is really self-hypnosis. So whether you practice self hypnosis, order a CD or see a professional hypnotist, you will discover a great and wonderful authentic power residing in you. One that can help just about anything!

Perspective

One of the most profound lessons in life I learned from someone who gave me a huge ah-ha! moment regarding perspective.

At the time, I had been dealing with anxiety. And, as it goes with anxieties or fears, the longer they linger—the bigger they grow. Like a vicious cycle feeding on itself, over and over again. It’s an awful experience and one that hypnosis can stop in its tracks. But back to the point.

I was expressing my fear and pain, trying to communicate the difficulty of my situation. And how much anxiety had taken the wheel of life—and for me—had become a suffocating nightmare. My thoughts seemed out of control and I had little hope. I was afraid of all the what ifs, and replayed all possible negative scenarios in my head throughout the day. By 3pm most days, I was spent, exhausted, and weak. All due to my thoughts and how much emotion I invested in thoughts that weren’t even real.

So, there I was, nearing tears as I explained my plight. And a moment later, a few statements from a caring man changed everything.

“You’re situation is tough, but to give you some perspective, I know a woman who just lost ALL three of her children in an accident. That’s really, really tough.”

It stopped me cold. I had three children. The thought of losing all of them in one moment overwhelmed me and my perspective shifted forever. I was able to take a step back, outside of myself, and really look at things for the very first time. And all because someone gave me the gift of a wider perspective. It was a beautiful and deeply painful moment. All the time I’d wasted worrying. All the power I’d given up being afraid. But, I looked forward. And saw life, anew.

After that day, every time I faced a difficulty, I took a step back and looked with new eyes. My perspective shifted and even the most trying moments became less powerful, because I knew many people out there had it worse.

Perspective is an amazing thing. 🙂

Good Health, Plain and Simple

The first time I ever read that my mind could influence my health—I’ll admit it—I sorta balked. Sure, maybe it was possible for some people, but not me. I kept reading, intrigued really, at the connection of my mind and body. And the connection my emotions had to—well, everything.

By the time my brain was done absorbing the information, I was a believer. I knew I could positively affect my health. And I did.

I decided I was done being sick 3-4 times per year, like pretty much everyone else I knew. During one of my early self-hypnosis sessions, I gave myself post hypnotic suggestions: I am healthy. No illness can enter my body. I am well. My immune system is strong. Stuff like that.

I bought this belief heart and soul. It became a part of me, and I expected nothing less than good health. Well, fall came that year and my kids went back to school, I waited optimistically. School always started the cycle. One of the kids would bring home a bug and it would cycle through the family for weeks. Except this time, I stayed well. For the first time ever, I didn’t get sick in the fall. Or that winter. Or the next fall or winter. In fact, I went over 4 years without so much as a sniffle. FOUR YEARS.

It took a near divorce to sidetrack my belief in wellness and my body’s ability to maintain it. I started to question myself and whether it was me and my belief system or if it was just a fluke. Of course, I’d never gone over 6 months without getting sick before, but even still—the stress of a relationship breakdown had me questioning everything. And the more I questioned it—the closer I came to illness. Because I allowed a belief that I had successful held for over 4 years to begin to crack. The moment I began saying, “I don’t know if I can stay well this fall when the kids return to school” —was it. The strong foundation I’d built, now was faltering, and I was solely responsible for it. And yes, I finally got sick.

The great thing about all of this is—-I learned more about myself, my power, my mind and how truly influential I can be on my own life and health. I realize that many illnesses start in our brain, or at the very least fester and grow there. If we can use the magnificent power in our minds to keep our immune system strong and healthy—there’s not much we can’t do.

Finding Your Truth

Every day is an opportunity to discover new ideas and learn more about who you are and who you’d like to become. Other people (especially those who ruffle our feathers) can be a gauge for our life experiences. Each situation can teach you what works, and what doesn’t. What you like and don’t, and what boundaries you still haven’t set in stone.

If you have teenagers (like me), you have abundant opportunities to self-adjust, if you choose to use those moments for awareness and improvement. For example, we can’t change people, but we can change how WE react to those people. Each moment can be expressed through conscious action, instead of unconscious reaction.

Unconscious reaction is our subconscious programming at work. It’s the messages and beliefs we were brought up with. If you were lucky enough to have a majority of positive messages absorbed by your brain—count your blessings. However, everyone can find false beliefs lingering in their mind, beliefs that are standing directly between an okay life and a great life.

Inside all of this—-resides your truth. The core of who you are. And the blueprint of the best you can become. By simply being aware—you can begin to shift everything in life to align with your truth. If anything is particularly difficult to admit or change, hypnosis can provide a springboard for you.

The more you stand in your truth, the more fulfilling life can be. A small step in the right direction each day can make a difference. After a year, you’ll be standing in a whole new place. Baby steps eventually become giant shifts in awareness.

All it takes to start—is this moment.

Hypnosis and Good Health

For decades, hypnosis and hypnotherapy have been successful in treating numerous physical health issues. People who are aware and have the right tools for healing and health can influence everything from their weight to their blood pressure. This is because all of our body / mind / spirit systems are connected and affect one another. If you feel the burden of mental stress, surely your body will suffer as well. There’s really no way to separate this connection. That’s why it’s so important to step into the shoes-of-awareness and take responsibility for the state of your mind and body.

Now, I know all of this is much easier said than done. In fact, the longer you’ve had a pattern of behavior, the more difficult it can be to change it or overcome its negative effects. However, tools of the mind, such as hypnosis, can make the process a smooth one. So, instead of wrestling with willpower and conscious effort, you can go straight to the heart of the problem and resolve it where it stands. For some, the healing, transformation process is instant—for others, it does take a bit of time—but not much. As little as a few minutes a day for 30 days can solidify a new behavior and put you on the path to health and success.

Did you know there are people who have used hypnosis alone for surgery, and no other anesthesia or meds? Sounds crazy right? With some proper training you can literally train your brain to induce numbness WITHOUT any drugs at all. So why wouldn’t you be able to work on lowering your blood pressure or lose excess pounds with the same technique?

You can. Hypnosis can be your go-to assistant for all of life’s problems. When they crop up, you pull out the sword of brain power and stop anything from spiraling out of control. Learn hypnosis. Your health is waiting.
